Grade 4 open forum

The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existing. One cannot help but be in awe when he contemplates the mysteries of eternity, of life, of the marvelous structure of reality. It is enough if one tries merely to comprehend a little of this mystery every day. Never lose a holy curiosity. Albert Einstein

Students of Grade 4 had an open forum by a group of expert doctors as a culminating part of their unit of inquiry on “Human Body” on 8th October. It was a very interesting and interactive session. The expert doctors gave a brief description of a particular organs system followed by questioning session. This open forum gave an opportunity to the kids to clarify all their wonderings. Some of their questions were

· Why do we sense pain when we get hurt?

· How can we get a sound sleep without nightmares?

· Why do some people get asthma? How can we avoid it?

· What happens if food doesn’t get digested?

· What happens if blood circulation stops to one particular organ?

· What happens if a nerve is broken?

It was an eventful session .This could happen only because of the group of doctors who all the way came here in spite of their busy schedule to answer the children queries. We would like to take this opportunity to thank Dr.Sreedevi, Mrs. Roopa Ravela, Dr. Lavanya, Dr. Sowjanya and Dr. Nand Kishore for their precious time and support .
