Guest Lecture BY Mr. S. Srinivas, Facility Manager



As a part of the research for the ongoing unit of Inquiry on ‘Electricity’ Grade VI batch got to interact with the school Facility Manager, Mr. S. Srinivas which helped in imparting knowledge about the details of electrical power supply in the school as well as  relate to the result of taking action on conservation of electrical energy.
It was very evident that the class greatly appreciated the opportunities to have him answer the student’s doubts, queries or reservations they might have and be a part of an open discussion.
Mr.Srinivas opened the session by telling us how electricity is supplied in the school and alsoabout the availability and capacity of the generator in case of power failure. Following this, he gave the students a clear view of the working and capacity of school transformer. It was surprising to learn that in certain situations how efficiently the school can cope up with power failure. But then he also spread the awareness on need for conversation of electricity and the actions which the students can take to conserve power in the school. 
It was an exceptionally informative session that covered some of the safety measures and cleared up some of the queries on electrical power supply in our school.
