Mother tongue day celebrations in Grade II

Multilingualism is the natural potential available to every normal human being rather than an unusual exception. “Given the appropriate environment, two languages are as normal as two lungs” It is only the environmental factors which may fail to provide the opportunity to learn another language that produce monolingual speakers. Therefore it becomes a responsibility to offer a multilingual atmosphere to our students.
Considering the significance we at OIS celebrated many languages through “International mother tongue day” .We were overwhelmed by the parents’ contribution by walking into our classrooms and making our learners cognizant of different languages through stories. Students did welcome the new languages with open minds and thoroughly enjoyed the sessions.
