Student’s Reflection on Book Spine Poetry

We read many books this year as a part of the reading program initiated by Oakridge International School. They were from various genres like folk tales, fantasy, detective, motivational and based on real-life experiences.

We also learnt about different types of poems like rhyming, haiku, free verse, etc. Then I came across a newspaper article about book spine poetry. I decided to try it on some of the books I had. What it involves is just arranging the books so their titles printed on the spines form a poem. You can try it too!

Some Examples of Book Spine Poetry

The Lord of the Rings,
The Last Olympian,
You Can Win
The Red Pyramid!

Water Stories from Around the World
