MYP Orientation for VII H (Individuals & Societies)

The class started off with an Ice Breaking Activity named “Catch Me If You Can”: Students of VII H were paired up.  All of them were divided into two lines (facing in) shoulder to shoulder, with partners facing each other. They were given approximately 30 seconds to look at their partners, taking in all details about the individual.  The teacher then instructed the two lines to turn and face away from the center.  One line had 15-20 seconds to change something about their appearance (i.e. change a watch to different wrist, unbutton a button, remove a belt, etc.).  The change had to be discrete, but visible to the partner.  The players again turned in to face each other and had 30 seconds to discover the physical changes that have been made. Students interacted with each other and had fun!

A motivational video was shown which was enjoyed by the students. They concluded that they would “never give up” in any circumstances and promised to work hard in their academics. Finally, they were introduced to the subject specific PPT.
