Sculpture Gallery by Grade 3 Students in Drama Class

Sculpture gallery in Drama class? Sounds very interesting. May be everyone will be wondering how come students created sculptures in drama class. As one of the activities to develop creativity and to focus more on body language of a character students of Grade 3 played “Sculpture gallery” game. In this game children were divided into 5 groups of 4/5 children each. Each group chooses one child, who is to be the sculptor.  The sculptors of each group were instructed to create a sculpture, using only the bodies of the group members as clay. The sculpture was like a translation of the theme given by the teacher to the sculptor.  Then all sculptors had a gallery walk. The students loved this activity and enjoyed it thoroughly.
