In the Theatre World Practice makes perfect. The secret to a great performance are planning and practice. One very important aspect of play production is the rehearsal phase. For most of the actors rehearsal period is the part where they enjoy most. It's the creating of the story.
Rehearsal Process:
Reading Rehearsal: The purpose of a reading rehearsal is to gain a general understanding of the story behind the script.
Blocking Rehearsal: Blocking Rehearsal is a placement of actors on stage in relation to each other to best communicate the story.
Developing Rehearsal: This rehearsal allows actors to connect with their characters with more focus.
Polishing Rehearsals: In this rehearsal Director should focus on one act or scene at a time. These rehearsals are crucial to make actors performance shine.
Technical rehearsals: Plays mix technology and art into one fabulous performance.  Actors as well as stage crew need a chance to practice.
Dress Rehearsal: Dress Rehearsal is like actual performance but without the audience. These rehearsals should have no interruptions.
