Senior School Library Activity

Trying to determine what is going on in the world by reading newspapers is like trying to tell the time by watching the second hand of a clock. ~Ben Hecht
Celebrate Newspaper in Library week activity with an adventure that will help our students become aware of the world around them, make decisions, plan with  their classmates and become producers as well as consumers of the written word.
Most of the sections of class 7th & 8th participated in monthly activity of senior school library.  The theme of this activity was “What can you do with Newspaper”. Children from grade 7th engrossed in “Create your own Newspaper” activity and grade 8th participated in “Expand your vocabulary” activity where we have assigned each group a letter of the alphabet and they look up the definition of each.
These activities will help students improve their skills in reading and writing. These skills are among the ones they will practice: how to find the main idea, how to increase vocabulary, how to compare readings, how to form sentences, how to ask a good question and how to write a great summary.
