Treasure Fest 2014 an Incredible Success

Treasure Fest 2014 the combined mega junior and senior school event was held on Friday 22 August 2014 this year. It was a phenomenal success breaking all records with 26 performing arts, visual arts and literary events. 28 schools participated in this Fest with more than 1400 participants. The feedback given by the schools was excellent. Oakridge won the Overall Championship. As part of the business studies project the grade 11 students of CBSE & IBDP put up food stalls, the profit will be used for community service.
Inspired by the motto the school holds dear; ”Learning the Treasure Within”, ‘TREASURE FEST’, incorporates a plethora of activities which are designed to bring out the innate talent of the students. The various competitions held during ‘TREASURE FEST’ cultivate the spirit of competition and solidarity amongst students who are diverse in culture, yet one in their quest for self-expression.
The logo of ‘Treasure Fest’, designed by the students of the Oakridge International School, Newton Campus represents the four colors of the house system of our school, wherein competition and camaraderie coexist. The theme of ‘TREASURE FEST’ ‘Ad Astra ‘ meaning ‘Reach for the Stars’ encourages the participants to put their best foot forward and participate in the event with grace  and dignity.
Reflections of students:
Every year Oakridge celebrates learning and fun at school by conducting various events. This year it did the same through an interschool mega event Treasure Fest. The students as well as participants were able to witness the various events in many different locations throughout the school.
All the events started out with a great buzz and everyone was very excited there were many exciting performances and students were having a great time all over the campus visiting stalls and witnessing events. At the end of the day everyone had performed well and gave their best shot and Oakridge won the Overall Championship.
