An Effort to Promote Reading

"The habit of reading is the only enjoyment I know in which there is no alloy. It lasts when all other pleasures fade. It will be there to support you when all other resources are gone. It will be present to you when the energies of your body have fallen away from you. It will last you until your death. It will make your hours pleasant to you as long as you live." - Anthony Trollope.

With the hustle and bustle of our lives, it can be difficult to find time to either start or complete reading material. You may have to change your behavior in order to achieve the goal of increasing or finding reading time. You cannot change time or your responsibilities but you can find creative ways to read and make the saying, “I don’t have time to read” obsolete. Especially, with today’s technology, finding time to read should be easier; however, it still is one of the most difficult tasks for an avid reader.

To promote reading among the faculty of Oakridge International School, the Library Department has taken an initiative to appreciate Ms. Sunanda as the spirited scholar (in recognition of her Avid Reading) in the month of July and August 2014.

The Oakridge family heartily congratulate Ms.Sunanda for her achievement.
